Goal 8: DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

Dual studies programme in transportation and logistics

At Hegelmann, we are committed to creating secure and meaningful employment opportunities for the next generation. One of the key ways we do this is through our Dual Studies Programme, which blends academic education with hands-on professional experience to support the development of future talent.

This programme enables students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings while building valuable skills and gaining early exposure to the logistics and transportation industry. Some key features of the programme include:

  • Integrated Learning Experience: Our approach combines classroom-based academic studies with practical, on-the-job training. This fusion enhances students’ understanding and accelerates their professional development.
  • Fair Compensation: Participants are fairly compensated for their contributions, ensuring financial support throughout their academic journey while rewarding their efforts in the workplace.
  • Mentorship and Career Guidance: Students are paired with dedicated mentors who provide support, guidance, and insights, helping them navigate both academic and career-related challenges with confidence.

In 2024, we welcomed 5 students into our Dual Studies Programme, with plans to expand the cohort by an additional 2 students later this year. This continued growth reflects our commitment to nurturing young talent and providing meaningful career pathways within Hegelmann. The programme remains a key pillar of our long-term workforce development strategy, supporting both professional growth and a strong, values-driven workplace culture.

Beyond our Dual Studies Programme, we’ve strengthened our commitment to education through a partnership with the German Jordanian University (GJU). As an official corporate partner, we provide:

  • Internships for students in fields like logistics, engineering, and business, offering hands-on experience in a global logistics environment.
  • Collaboration on research and innovation, particularly in sustainability and transport technologies.
  • Cross-cultural exchange, supporting international students in Germany while enriching our teams with diverse perspectives.

This collaboration reflects our dedication to inclusive growth and investing in talent worldwide. Together with GJU, we’re bridging academia and industry to prepare the next generation for tomorrow’s challenges.
