Hegelmann is committed to reducing its environmental footprint through targeted initiatives that support the transition to a low-carbon economy through investing in renewable energy solutions, aimed at decreasing reliance on fossil fuels and fostering long-term sustainability. These projects include: 

Solar panel installations 

We have begun installing solar panels across our facilities to generate clean energy on-site. 59% of the total electricity consumption is covered by on-site solar energy. This initiative not only reduces our dependence on conventional energy sources but also contributes directly to lowering our operational emissions. 

Collaborating with Renewable Energy Providers 

In addition to on-site generation, we are partnering with trusted energy providers to increase the share of renewable electricity powering our facilities. In 2024, 31.53% of the electricity consumed by our operations in Germany came from renewable sources. 

As part of our long-term strategy to support the growth of the renewable energy sector, we commit to ensure that 100% of the electricity used in our facilities will be sourced from renewables by 2030.
